Welcome! Peling Chögar is a Vajrayana Buddhist meditation center, with a special emphasis on teachings from the lineage of Pema Lingpa (1450-1521),
the great master and treasure-revealer of the Himalayan Kingdom of
Bhutan. Pema Linga’s reputation was such that he was considered the
patron saint of Bhutan and, as such, has been a source of great national
pride and inspiration. There have been nine body emanations of Pema
Lingpa; the current incarnation is His Holiness Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche (b.
1955). Gangteng Tulku is the abbot of Gangteng Monastery in Bhutan. The
special blessing of the Gangteng Rinpoches is that they are always born
in Bhutan. His Holiness Gangteng Rinpoche is also the spiritual head of
Peling Chögar.
